Meditations iii (Pt 1)

A collection of digitally painted clouds. The symbolism of the clouds are significant as they represent consciousness and the pursuit of making the intangible; tangible and conceivable. This collection exists in two parts, the first which is situated here and each image was created en plein air after short sessions of meditation. Once this collection was complete, the images were printed on photographic paper and exhibited in a space in an informal format influenced by the works of Cynthia Diagnault. When viewed in this way the images are changed and give an element of the uncanny, challenging the perceptions of the viewer. The presentation of the photograph yet it being a digitally painted image can give a sense of intellectual uncertainty thus carrying the traits of the uncanny and perhaps evoking it at a noticeable level.
